I don't get a clear picture on my TV screen. What should I do?

If your TV screen is solid black, green, or blue, try Solution 1 below. If your screen is "snowy" or you're seeing wavy lines or overlapping images, try this.
Solution 1: Press the INFO button on your remote control
Make sure your TV and your receiver are both on.
Press the INFO button on your remote control. Do you see a banner showing a program title and description at the top of the screen? If so, your receiver is working.
Tune to another channel, one that you normally watch.
Still not seeing a clear picture?
Try Solution 2.
Solution 2: Check that your TV is set on the right input
On your DIRECTV remote control, press the TV Input button to cycle through TV inputs (Component, HDMI, etc) until you see a clear picture. If nothing happens when you press the button, program your DIRECTV remote to control your TV Input, then try again.
If you're still having issues, check the cable used to connect your receiver to your TV.
Still not seeing a clear picture?
Try Solution 3.
Solution 3: Reset Your Receiver
Unplug your receiver's power cord from the electrical outlet, wait for 15 seconds, and plug it back in.
Press the Power button on the front panel of your receiver. Wait for your receiver to reboot.
