With DIRECTV's exciting FREE TV apps, like Social TV, Flickr, ScoreGuide, and 5-Day Weather Forecast, you can share what you're watching on Facebook and Twitter, view your favorite pictures, get up to the minute scores, check your local weather, and much more — without missing a second of what you're watching, all at the press of a button.
Here's how it works:
- Press the Right Arrow button on your remote control to launch TV Apps. Select the DIRECTV App Store icon at the top of the TV Apps Dock and choose the apps you want. You can also go to the online DIRECTV App Store on your computer, select Browse and choose the apps you want there.
- Whenever you want to access your TV Apps, just press the RIGHT ARROW button and select the App you want to use.
- Enjoy
To enjoy TV Apps, you need a DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR receiver (model HR20 and later), or a DIRECTV Plus® DVR (model R22). The receiver must connected to the Internet.
If you are having difficulty accessing TV Apps, first check that you have the correct receiver type and confirm that your broadband connection is working. Next, press EXIT on your remote to clear any onscreen elements and press the right arrow again. Graphics may take up to 30 seconds to load depending on your broadband connection.
