How do I format my TV for HD?

Channels are displayed in a variety of screen formats. To optimize your viewing experience, you can choose your HD resolution setting. Press the FORMAT button on your DIRECTV remote for the current display resolution. To change the setting, follow these simple steps:

  1. Push MENU on your remote
  2. Select PARENTAL, FAV'S & SETUP
  3. Select SYSTEM SETUP
  4. Select HDTV
  5. Select TV RESOLUTIONS
