Is DIRECTV.com secure? How can I tell that your website is secure?

I can assure you that any account and financial information you send to us while you are logged into your account at directv.com is private and secure.

The indicator to ensure that you are on a secure Internet page is when the "Address", "Netsite", or "Location" window near the top of your browser changes from "http://" to "https://." The added "s" means you are in a secure area of a web site. Internet Explorer usually shows a locked padlock in the lower right corner when you are on a secure Internet page, but if the padlock isn't there and the address begins with https, you are still in a secure area of the web site.
