Can I manage my DIRECTV account via text message?

Yes, it's the easiest way to manage your account. You can pay your DIRECTV bill, check your balance, activate sports and premium networks, order movies and events, and more—anytime, anywhere—with a simple text message from your cell phone. Follow the instructions below to get started:
  • To pay your DIRECTV bill, text PAY to 21880.
  • To check your balance, text BAL to 21880.
  • To order DIRECTV CINEMA™ movies, text MOVIE to 223322. Then type in the name of the movie you want to watch or choose from the list of the hottest new releases. There are no ordering fees.
  • To order a Pay Per View event, text EVENT to 223322. Note: Pay Per View Events do not include sports packages, such as ESPN GamePlan or NFL SUNDAY TICKET.
  • To order an adult program, text AE to 223322.
  • To activate a premium network, text any of the network codes below to 223322:
    • HBO® code: HBO
    • STARZ® Super Pack code: STARZ
    • SHOWTIME® UNLIMITED code: SHOWTIME
    • Cinemax® code: CINEMAX
    • SPORTS PACK code: SPORTS PACK
    • DIRECTV® HD EXTRA PACK code: HD EXTRA PACK
    • GSN Game Lounge code: GAME LOUNGE
  • To activate any sports package, text SPORTS to 223322, then choose from the list of available sports packages.

Please note: Standard data and text message rates will apply to each text message sent or received in accordance to your wireless plan (contact your wireless carrier for pricing plan details). If your account is password protected, the password must be verified via text message. If the text is sent from a phone number that the system does not recognize, you will be prompted to enter the number on the account.
