Your GenieGO™ can automatically prepare new episodes of a series to be synced with your laptop, tablet, or cell phone as soon as your HD DVR records them. When you're ready to watch, just sync your program with your computer or mobile device and start enjoying it right away—it takes only a few minutes.
Here's what you need:
Equipment
- A DIRECTV HD DVR connected to your home broadband network
- A wireless router
- DIRECTV GenieGO™ device connected to the wireless router
- PC, Mac, or iPhone® (coming soon to iPad® and Android)
Broadband Internet Connection
Connect your GenieGO™ to the Ethernet port on your wireless router.
Compatible Devices
GenieGO™ works with PC, Mac computers, iPhone, and iPod touch, and soon will be compatible with iPad and Android™ mobile devices.
Follow these steps to set episodes to be prepared for syncing automatically.
Step 1
Within your home Wi-Fi network, launch the GenieGO™ App on your laptop, tablet, or cell phone.
Step 2
Once your device has been activated, you'll see all of the shows and movies on your DVR playlist. Select any series to go to its details page. Series have a folder icon next to or below the title.
Step 3
Click or tap Auto-Download Series. New episodes will now automatically prepare for syncing when they are recorded to your HD DVR.
