WildBlue Internet Is Going Away

You may have gotten a letter or email from us with the recent news about WildBlue Internet. We’ll discontinue the service in stages starting December 31, 2018, and ending January 31, 2019. After it’s discontinued, you won’t be able to use it anymore.

You’ll be able to access your directv.net email for 30 days after your WildBlue Internet service ends.

 

What to do now

  • Call us at 877.859.4103 to remove WildBlue from your DIRECTV bill.
  • Call if you have any questions or want to explore your available internet options.
  • Allow enough time to replace your internet service before WildBlue service ends.

 

Important info about directv.net email accounts

We’ll discontinue WildBlue email addresses (including directv.net email addresses) 30 days after your WildBlue service ends. If you want to save any of your email data, forward your emails to a new email address or make other plans before you lose access to your inbox. You can create a new, free email account on att.net. Just go to att.net and select Sign Up in the top right corner.

When is WildBlue Internet going away?
We’ll discontinue the service in stages starting December 31, 2018, and ending January 31, 2019.

You’ll also lose access to your associated directv.net email address 30 days after your WildBlue service ends. We will send you a notice with the date that your service will be discontinued and you can also call us to confirm the date that applies to you.

 

For example, if your service ends on December 31, 2018, you’ll lose access to your email on January 29, 2019. If your service ends on January 31, 2019, you’ll lose email access on March 1, 2019.

What happens if I do nothing?
We won’t charge you for WildBlue Internet after it’s discontinued. But, if you haven’t set up an alternate internet service, you won’t be able to get online. Call us at 877.859.4103 if you’d like help finding a different internet service.

You’ll also lose access to your associated directv.net email address 30 days after your WildBlue service ends. If you don’t save your email data before that date, we won’t be able to recover it for you.

Do I need to return the WildBlue equipment?
You don’t have to return your WildBlue modem or other equipment. You can recycle or dispose of your equipment in accordance with your local laws.
