Why are my DIRECTV CINEMA™ movies being deleted from my DVR?

Print

The movie studios require that DIRECTV CINEMA™ movies purchased and recorded to DVR receivers will only be available to view for a limited amount of time, ranging from 24 to 72 hours. You may still see the title in your Playlist after the viewing period has expired; however, you will be required to purchase the title again if you re-select the title.

The viewing period begins as soon as the movie is purchased, so if you order a 24-hour rental movie at 8:00 PM on Friday and record it on to your DVR, you'll have until 8:00 PM on Saturday to watch it.

This rule applies to DIRECTV CINEMA™ movies only; it does not to other Pay Per View purchases (sports, events, and adult programming) and regular programming.
