Why is the amount on my bill sometimes different from the amount I see online or hear on the phone?

Your monthly bill is sent at the beginning of each billing cycle. When you make changes in the middle of a bill cycle, DIRECTV applies charges or credits for the portion of service that have already been billed but won’t be used. These changes are reflected immediately in any balances provided by the Automated Phone System and online at www.directv.com. Such activity will also be captured on your next month’s bill along with the regular monthly charges for that month’s bill cycle.
