What is DoublePlay and how do I use this feature?

Print

It's happens to every sports fan: two huge games on at the same time. What to do? DIRECTV has the answer: DoublePlay. It allows you to quickly toggle between any two games that are simultaneously recording.

Here's how it works:

  • While watching one game, press the DOWN arrow on your remote to start recording it
  • Press the DOWN arrow again to select a game on a different channel
  • Now, simply use the DOWN arrow to toggle between the two games
  • Pause or rewind either game so you don't a miss a minute of the action

DoublePlay isn't just for sports fans. It works for any two shows on any two channels. DoublePlay doubles your enjoyment with a click no matter what you want to watch.

NOTE: To use DoublePlay, you must have a DVR (model R22 or later) or an HD DVR (model HR20 or later).

*DIRECTV Whole-Home DVR service requires a DIRECTV Plus HD DVR, Advanced Receiver Service fee ($25/mo.) and Whole-Home-enabled HD Receiver for each additional TV (or RVU enabled devices with the Home Media Center HD DVR model HR 34). Limit one remote viewing per HD DVR at a time, or up to three with the Home Media Center HD DVR. For more information, visit directv.com/wholehome.
