What is the difference between Local into Local (LIL) and distant network signals (DNS)?

Print

Local into Local refers to any television station delivered by DIRECTV to customers in the station's "home" market. (For example: Los Angeles station KABC viewed by someone living in the Los Angeles market area.) A Distant Network Signal refers to any television station delivered outside of its "home" market. (For example: Los Angeles station KABC viewed by someone in the Denver market area.)
