What should I do if the receiver name on my tablet doesn't match the names of my receivers?

The DIRECTV for tablet app uses the receiver names set on your directv.com account. These names can be different from the Whole-Home DVR names set on the receiver in System Setup--> Whole-Home. If the receiver names don't match, you have to change the receiver name on directv.com:

  1. Go to www.directv.com
  2. Sign into your DIRECTV account
  3. Click on the "My Equipment" tab in the middle of the screen
  4. Click on the "update" link next to the receiver name you would like to change
  5. Click on the "Submit" button

To change a receiver name on the receiver:

  1. Press MENU on your remote control
  2. Select SETTINGS & HELP
  3. Select SYSTEM SETUP
  4. Select WHOLE-HOME
  5. Select NAME LOCATION and edit the name.
  6. Select on the "Update Name" button when done.
