I'm having GenieGO professionally installed. Is there anything I need to do to prepare?


Please note: DIRECTV no longer sells GenieGO devices online or over the phone.

To ensure that your GenieGO installation goes smoothly, please make sure you have the following items in place:

  • An active broadband Internet connection (Cable or DSL). An Internet connection via satellite or a "hot spot" is not compatible.
  • A wireless router with an available Ethernet port. You'll need to know the name of your network and your username and password.
  • A Mac or PC with admin rights to install software.
  • A DIRECTV.com account with your username and password. If you haven’t already, you can create an account now.
