I have Whole-Home DVR service. Why can't I see my shared DVR Playlist on every TV?

Before you begin troubleshooting this issue, make sure your receivers are compatible with Whole-Home DVR service.

1. Sign in to your directv.com account.
2. Click View My Equipment in the My Snapshot section.
3. Your HD DVR should have a model number starting with HR20 or higher and your HD receiver(s) should have a model number H21 or higher. Older models are not Whole-Home capable.

If your receivers are Whole-Home capable, proceed with Solution 1 below.
Solution 1: Make sure Whole-Home sharing is turned on
ImageGo to your main HD DVR (the receiver that contains the DVR playlist that's being shared). Press MENU on your remote control. Select Settings & Help, and then select Settings. In the Settings menu, select Whole-Home, and then select External Device. Set External Device to ALLOW.
ImagePress the LEFT ARROW on your remote control to return to the Whole-Home menu. Select Share Playlist. Set Share Playlist to YES.
ImageGo to the receiver that couldn't access the shared DVR playlist. Press LIST on your remote control.

NEXT STEP: Try Solution 2.

Solution 2: Check your receiver connections
ImageIf your receiver model number is HR20, HR21, HR22, HR23, H21, H22, H23, or R22 you should have a Whole-Home Adapter (pictured on the right) attached to the back of your receiver. Verify that the Whole-Home Adapter is securely connected to the receiver and its power LED is steady green. If the Whole-Home Adapter device is missing or its power light is not on, call us at 1-800-531-5000.
ImageIf your receiver model number is HR24 or higher or H24 or higher, you DO NOT need the Whole Home Adapter. Make sure you do not have a Whole Home Adapter attached to the back of your receiver. Also make sure there are no devices connected to your receiver's Ethernet port.
