How to use DIRECTV 72 Hour Rewind

Forgot to set your HD DVR to record a show? 72 Hour Rewind is an HD DVR feature that lets you immediately watch shows that aired in the past 72 hours. Now you'll never have to worry about missing a show again. All you need is an Internet-connected receiver.*

Networks with the 72 Hour Rewind functionality are marked with a plus sign (+) in the On-Screen Guide.

Ready to give it a try? Follow these steps:

Step 1

Press the GUIDE button on your remote control.

Step 2

Use the LEFT ARROW key on your remote to highlight the channel name with a plus sign (+), then press SEL to select it.

Step 3

On the network's On Demand screen, you'll find all the shows from the last 7 days, including the 72 Hour Rewind content. Select Missed it? Watch Now!.

Step 4

Select the show you want to watch and enjoy.

The 72 Hour Rewind feature is available for HD DVR (model HR24) and Genie receivers (models HR34 and above), Genie Mini, and Wireless Genie Mini.
*Your receiver must be connected to the Internet.
