How do I order a DIRECTV 4K movie?

Print
First, please check that you have everything you need to enjoy 4K Ultra HD. If you're all set, select the appropriate link below.

Step 1

Sign in to your online account on directv.com.

Step 2

Select Movies from the main navigation.

Step 3

Click the Show Filters dropdown, then select 4K under Format.

Step 4

With your cursor, roll over the movie you would like to watch, then click the Watch button.

Step 5

Click Order.

Step 6

You'll see a pop-up asking if this program is recorded. Select Record.

Step 7

You'll see a Record Confirmation pop-up, which means your recording has been set successfully. To pay for your movie online, select Order Now. You can also wait until it's recorded to your DVR Playlist, then order from your TV using your remote control.

Step 1

Go to your TV and press MENU on your remote control.

Step 2

Select Search & Browse.

Step 3

Select 4K UHD Programs.

Step 4

What's On Now displays the 4K movies available to watch instantly. Select the green Play icon under the title you want to watch, and confirm your purchase when the onscreen message displays. Press SELECT on your remote to confirm.

All other 4K movies must be recorded to your DVR Playlist before you can watch them. This may take approximately double the duration of the movie, so we strongly recommend recording your movie in advance. To record a 4K movie, follow these steps:

Step 1

On the 4K screen, browse movies by category on the left-hand menu.

Step 2

Select the movie you want to record to your DVR Playlist. The info screen for that title will display with an indicator at the top of the screen that tells you when it will become available to watch.

Step 3

Select Record.

Step 4

When your movie's ready to watch, it will appear in your DVR Playlist. Press LIST on your remote and select the movie. An onscreen message will display asking you to confirm your purchase. Press SELECT on your remote.
