What are the requirements to use the app?

A DIRECTV customer must have:
  • An active DIRECTV account and programming package
  • Access to a mobile device
  • Access to high-speed Internet
  • Account to log into directv.com—which will also be used to log into the DIRECTV App. This can be either a directv.com login or an AT&T Access ID.
  • Mobile device must have the ability to download and install the DIRECTV App from the applicable app marketplace. In addition, to live stream the same channels you get at home and access your DVR playlist, you will need:
    • Advanced Receiver Service
    • DIRECTV Genie HD DVR (HR44 or greater) connected to high-speed Internet
    • Wireless router
