Can I use DIRECTV with Voice Over IP (VOIP) service?


DIRECTV receivers are compatible with Voice Over IP (VOIP) technology. However, some stand-alone TiVo and high definition receivers may not be able to make the required daily calls without a land-based phone line. To find out if your receiver will work with VOIP, check your VOIP owner's manual or a VOIP retailer. Also, you may find some helpful information at the DIRECTV Technical Help forums.
