How do I order DIRECTV Pay Per View movies to watch on TV?

Purchase Pay Per View movies (also known as DIRECTV CINEMA) in the way that’s easiest for you.

 

Order from your receiver with your remote control

If your receiver is connected to the Internet, you can order from your TV using your remote control. To check if your receiver is connected to the Internet, press the DASH button on your remote. If you see the message Internet: Not detected, connect your HD DVR to the Internet.

  1. Go to Ch. 1100 (DIRECTV CINEMA).
  2. Select the Pay Per View movie you want to watch.
  3. A preview will start playing. When you see an on-screen message asking you to confirm your purchase, select Yes, Confirm.

 

Order online with your computer

  1. Go to directv.com/movies in your web browser.
  2. Hover your mouse over the program you want to watch and click Rent.
  3. If prompted, sign in to your account. If you don’t have an account, create one.
  4. Follow the prompts to confirm your purchase.
  5. Go to your receiver to watch your program.
    • Receiver connected to the Internet: Press the LIST button on your remote to see your Playlist and select your program to start watching.
    • Receiver not connected to the Internet: Go to the Pay Per View channel for the program you selected (Ch. 125-199).

 

Order with your phone or tablet

  1. Go to directv.com/movies in your mobile web browser.
  2. Tap the movie your want to watch to see more details and tap Watch.
  3. If prompted, sign in to your account. If you don’t have an account, create one.
  4. Scroll down to the On TV section and tap Order.
  5. Verify your payment information and tap Order again.
  6. Go to your receiver to watch your program.
    • Receiver connected to the Internet: Press the LIST button on your remote to see your Playlist and select your program to start watching.
    • Receiver not connected to the Internet: Go to the Pay Per View channel for the program you selected (Ch. 125-199).

 

If your movie doesn’t start immediately, switch to a different channel and then go back. If it still doesn’t start, refresh your receiver online. You can also order Pay Per View programs via text message by calling Customer Service.
