What should I do if “Channel Not Available” displays on my screen?

This error might be caused by one of the following situations:

  • Channel is used for an event, which may not have started yet or has already aired
  • Channel is not included in your programming package
Solution 1: Refresh your service

Image  Many issues, such as missing channels, can be fixed by “refreshing” your receiver.
Go to the My Equipment page and select Refresh Receiver next to the receiver experiencing the issue.

Solution 2: Check when the program airs

Image  Check the programming schedule The event you want to watch might have already ended or has yet to begin.

Image  The event might be blacked out in your area. Learn more about sports blackouts

Solution 3: Check your channel lineup
Image  On the My Overview page, select View Channel Lineup.
Image  If the channel you’re trying to watch is not included in your programming package, you can easily upgrade your package online. Select Change Package to make changes.

Solution 4: Reset your receiver

Image  Unplug your receiver’s power cord from the electrical outlet, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in.
Image  Press the Power button on the front panel of your receiver – your receiver will reboot.
Image  Go to My Equipment page to refresh your receiver again.
