DIRECTV error code 775

Error code 775 displays when your receiver loses connection with the satellite dish. As a result, your TV signal may be interrupted.

To resolve this error:

Step 1: Check Receiver Cables

Secure all connections between your receiver and the wall outlet, starting with the SAT-IN (or SATELLITE IN) connection. If you have any adapters connected, please secure them as well.

Step 2: Reset SWiM Adapter

If you have a SWiM (Single Wire Multi-switch) Adapter (pictured above) attached to the DIRECTV cable coming from your dish, unplug it from the electrical outlet. Wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in. This power inserter is usually black or grey and the size of a small brick.

If you’re still having trouble, call us at 800.531.5000 and say “775” when prompted.
