DIRECTV error code 711

This error might be caused by one of the following situations:

  • Your receiver has not been activated for DIRECTV® service.
  • Your receiver has received only part of the data it needs to decode our satellite signal.

Follow these steps to check if your receiver is activated:

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Click or tap “View My Equipment” in the My Snapshot section
